Usage Guide
Use of the Flow Cytometry Laboratory is divided by purpose into Analysis Request, Sorting Request, Equipment Training, and Personal Use. Please download the application form appropriate to your purpose, complete it, and submit it.

Please download the application form appropriate to your purpose, complete it, and submit it.
Analysis Request
The staff perform the analysis directly. Complete and submit the request form and the specimen request form.
Sorting Request
A cell isolation request using a cell sorter.
Equipment Training
Provides equipment training and training on analysis software so that researchers can operate the flow cytometers themselves.
Personal-Use Registration
Personal use of equipment is available only to those who have completed user training.
Analysis Service Request Procedure
In an analysis request, the Flow Cytometry Laboratory staff analyze the flow cytometry specimen prepared by the researcher on the instrument and provide the raw data or basic analysis results.
Preliminary Inquiry
- Complete the [Flow Cytometry Laboratory Analysis Request Form] with your analysis objectives, sample type, fluorochrome combination, etc., and submit your inquiry

Request Consultation
- Based on the request form, the staff review and discuss whether the analysis is feasible, the instrument, control configuration, schedule, etc.
Analysis Request Reservation
- Make a reservation through the CMI equipment reservation system and complete the [Flow Cytometry Laboratory Analysis Specimen Request Form]

Specimen Delivery and Verification
- Visit the Flow Cytometry Laboratory at the reserved time and hand over the specimen

- Analysis is performed
Data Delivery
- The raw data and analysis results are delivered by email
Fee Billing and Payment (following month)
- The researcher makes payment after receiving the invoice
Sorting Request Procedure
A Sorting request is a service that uses a cell sorter to isolate the cell population desired by the researcher. Sorting is affected by specimen condition far more than simple analysis, and whether isolation is feasible and under what conditions may vary depending on cell size, viability, the proportion of target cells, the fluorochrome combination, the purpose of downstream experiments, and the number of cells required; it therefore always proceeds after a preliminary consultation. If downstream experiments such as culture, RNA analysis, single-cell analysis, or functional assays are planned, the appropriate buffer, collection tube, and recovery conditions must be discussed in advance.

- Complete the [Flow Cytometry Laboratory Sorting Request Form] with your sorting objectives, sample type, target cell population, fluorochrome combination, etc., and submit your inquiry

Delivery of Specimen and Supplies
- Visit the Flow Cytometry Laboratory at the reserved time and hand over the specimen and supplies
Sorting and Purity Check
- Cell isolation and verification of the purity of the isolated cells
Sample Handover
- The isolated cells are handed over to the researcher
Data Delivery
- The raw data and analysis results are delivered by email
Fee Billing and Payment (following month)
- The researcher makes payment after receiving the invoice
Personal-Use Equipment Procedure
In this method, researchers who have received training and use approval operate the analysis equipment themselves. Reservation rights are granted only to researchers who have completed equipment training, the use test, and personal-use registration, and have received staff approval.
Personal users must comply with the equipment use rules, reservation and cancellation criteria, sample carryover prevention, and the equipment shutdown procedure.
Preliminary Inquiry
- Complete the [Flow Cytometry Laboratory Training Request Form] with which analysis equipment you intend to use, the analyses you plan to conduct, etc., and submit your inquiry

Training Consultation
- Based on the training request form, the staff confirm whether training is possible and which equipment is suitable
Training Schedule Confirmation
- After arranging the training schedule, complete and submit the [Flow Cytometry Laboratory Training Application Form]

Equipment Training
- Visit the Flow Cytometry Laboratory on the training date and complete the equipment training
Equipment Use Test
- Verification of the ability to operate the equipment and additional training

Specimen Preparation Guide
For accurate measurement, you must confirm your analysis objectives, sample type, antibody and fluorochrome combination, control configuration, analysis schedule, etc., with the staff before submitting a request.
Analysis Request
